Little Tools
for Big
Feelings.
Singing bowls, weighted lap pads, and glitter calm-down jars โ chosen by school counselors, OTs, and parents who needed something that actually works.
Start with Breath
Every calm moment begins with one conscious inhale. Breathing tools give kids a physical anchor โ something to hold, expand, watch, or shake while their nervous system settles.
Educator Tip
Hold the breathing ball at chest height and guide kids to expand it on a 4-count inhale, then contract on a 4-count exhale. Three rounds is enough to shift a dysregulated child back to the learning window.

Add Touch
The nervous system speaks the language of pressure, texture, and weight. Tactile tools give overwhelmed kids a safe way to discharge sensory energy โ without leaving the classroom.
Educator Tip
A 2-lb weighted lap pad activates the proprioceptive system in about 90 seconds. Place it on a child's lap before a transition or test โ no explanation needed. The body knows what to do with gentle, even pressure.

Build a Routine
Breath and touch become tools only when they're practiced before the meltdown. Kits and card decks turn one-time interventions into daily rituals that kids actually look forward to.
Educator Tip
Laminate the routine cards and add velcro to the back. Post the morning sequence at eye level โ kids who help choose their own routine cards show 60% better self-regulation within two weeks.

Real Kids. Real Calm.
Counselors, OTs, and parents tell us what happened after the first week.
"I set up the Calm Corner kit on a Tuesday. By Thursday, three kids were self-referring to it during transitions. I've been in school counseling for 11 years โ nothing has worked this fast."

Margaret Osei
School Counselor ยท Riverside Elementary, Atlanta GA
"My daughter is 6 and has sensory processing differences. The glitter jar is the only thing that actually interrupts a meltdown. She calls it her 'snow globe brain.' I cried the first time it worked."

Priya Subramaniam
Parent ยท Mom of two, Portland OR
"I build take-home kits for every student on my caseload. Breathe is the only store where I can get everything โ the OT-designed lap pads, the fidgets, the card decks โ in one order."

Occupational Therapist ยท Pediatric OT Practice, Denver CO
